hi,
Several years ago i bought once the english translation of the software which is built in the Turbo-R GT.
that translation only worked with a turbo-R GT.
If i am right MSX club West-Friesland made this translation and sold it on zandvoort/Tilburg.
I lost my copy of that ( i sold mine GT  but have another now!!!)
My question is is this still availible, or are there more people who have it?

I believe it was MGF, not MCWF.

Ehm... wait a sec... are you saying that is possible to get the built in MSX View of the Turbo-R GT in english? How can we do that?

Read the first post carefullt, I think he means an English version on floppy, not internal.

Indeed it was MGF who translated and released it... on a seperate floppy. IIRC I downloaded it once from an MSX BBS... Or did I already have an Internet connection by then...?

ah, in that case I downloaded that some time ago. Indeed it was MSX View in English, but for my thinking, MSX View was very slow to use it as MSX-DOS shell. I believe that the code isn't optimized since MSX-View must run on a Turbo-R and it should be faster enough to achieve a reasonable speed...

The English version was indeed made by MGF (by Jan van Valburg to be exact)
I thought that this version of MSX View was commonly known in the TR scene...
Btw, this is not a translation, but an effort to translate as good as it was possible at that time (Jan didn't knew Japanese and was still a teenager when he 'translated' MSX View). If I'm not mistaken you could even boot (without the usage of the floppy) the English version. Perhaps Ro might know a bit more.
ps.. I don’t have a TR so I also don’t have that 'translation'.
