As you might have noticed in this article, it has become quite popular in Japan to 'measure a software collection'. So, why don't we do the same over here? How many meters of MSX software do you have? Do you have the pictures to prove it? Bring it on! |

I asume you mean original software and I also asume you refer to the size of the side of a box, not the front-size .. |

I assume you have read the article written by Bernard Lamers and looked at the corresponding photoshoot, so I assume I do not have to answer this question |

But, as the topic starter.. allow me to do the kickoff
(yeah yeah yeah, I need to clean my room, I know... )
1.38meters of fine MSX software in mint condition I'm sure a lot of people on the MRC forums have a lot more software than that! |

erm, lets list my original stuff:
moonblaster (rather huge box)
c-quencer
protracker (no box iirc)
usas
vampire killer
nemesis3 (no box)
fm-pac (no box)
musmod (no box)
topple-zip
arkanoid
vortex-raider (disk)
vortex-raider (casette)
alpharoid
the chess game msx2
ski-run
30 msx hits
flight-simulator
Bastard (huge box)
Quite soon I realised I didn't find gaming of much interest, years later games became more interesting, but then I didn't spend any time on that due demo-scene occupation
roughly ... 30 cm ? |

Hmm, I don't dare to even guess how long it was in the "glory days", could have been even hard to measure...
But nowadays when couple of hundreds of games are sold, length is propably about 6-8 meters. I'll take a look one day when I have time to do it.

sjoerd, the question is the length of your MSX software collection, not that other thing
Mine is about 2.20m btw, mostly Konami, Falcom and Microcabin titles. |

My collection must be at least 3 metres long

[edit]
Correction, if a cartridge is about 1,5 cm on a side (not including boxes), I have a collection of at least 5 metres long
LOL

Try 15000 x 0.3 cm = 45 metres ? (unless I miscalculated) |
