Yes, ofcourse
The power supply gives 3 different voltages.
5 volt, 12 volt and -12V.
The drives need 5 volt and 12 volt.
If the 12 volt is missing the drives does not run.

I've measured the voltage of the 4-pin cables that is connected to the drive but it seems to be alright: +5V between the 1° and the 4° "wires" (is wire the correct word?) and +12 V between the 2° and the 4° and between the 3° and the 4° (if I remember exactly).
The problem isn't here... boh!
