Bombaman manual

Last night Team Bomba surprised us with the release of the Bombaman patch. People who have bought the game at the Oss fair will have a less buggy game now because of the team's hard work to fix things. Unfortunately these people are still waiting for the printed manual which would be sent to them once it's finished.

I thought the manual would have been finished by now, but there's still no sign of completion. The game really deserves a good looking printed manual, especially now.

Team members blaming other team members for their speed (or lack of it) seems very unprofessional to me. I also think Sunrise should push them to finish the manual since they are distributing the game.

I bought the game to Club Hnostar and it came with a very little manual in English (about 4 pages).

I agree with you, this cool game deserves a high quality manual.

Hmm... no offence, but wouldn't it be better to verify this with the parties involved? I mean, you _could_ have asked us first before making this post. Anyways, rest assured, we _are_ working on the manual, and it should be finished before/on the Tilburg fair.

Also, the insinuation that nobody was working on the manual or didn't care about it ever being finished doesn't sound right to me. Just take it from me, we were and are working on it, both from Sunrise and Team Bomba's side, coordinating things with HNostar, making designs, improving the text, etc, etc. These things take time to coordinate, and it bothered us as much as it did you.

Anyways, nuff said, look out for the manual sometime soon, it will be there!

Jorito: We did ask you guys several times already in #msxdev, though we don't see you anymore. Still wondering why, but that would be off-topic. I do think it's strange to put the blame on one particular person when there are more parties involved in making it. The Sunrise/Team Bomba/HNostar thing is the first time I've heard about that, though I might have expected this. In fact, Arjan put the blame on that particular person again just before I decided to write this post. If you would have been in #msxdev, you would have known that.

first of all, we're not professionals so that just could be the reason why we're looking so unprofessional I could've said some more about the manual status, but then again, I can't promise anything so it's no use telling it anyways.

maybe I was a bit overreacting, but I was already annoyed by the fact the manual wasn't finished yet (it should've been finished a *long* time ago already)

Jorito and myself have pushed already to this item into the direction of the persons who are more directly involved in finishing.
So, Bifi that's off topic
I find this very disturbing because it seems to me that several people are that bored and cannot wait for something that has a quality.
You all get what your waiting for. It is not wise that we never learned about the selfmade manual by Hnostar without letting ( team bomba and sunrise as well) know.
We regret to the spanish users that this has happened. But inform us than directly and make it not a topic .Because for that we must sincere apologize to them since they have not get what promised by giving the impression that this was the quality manual

The fun part is Sunrise promises a lot of things "in the future"...
RoA and the MoonSound version of TLW are some examples. In the case of TLW users have waited many YEARS, and now there is just a chance of it appearing. (Please, ro!)
The case of RoA was recently discussed in another thread...

So I think people are starting to lose their patience with Sunrise's promises and expect results sooner, because experience teaches us: if you wait patiently for too long, it will never appear at all!

I for one will not buy Bombaman until it has a proper manual, it's as simple as that.

I can understand quality takes time, but this much time? We're all waiting three months already. If you would have said the manuals will be done in Tilburg in the first place, we could've taken that into account and this whole thread would be obsolete indeed. I do feel the people who are still waiting for the printed manual should be better informed on its progress. They already did pay for it when buying their copy of the game.

And the off-topic part was a referal to Jorito's absence in #msxdev lately. Why do you make off-topic issues go on-topic again?

Yes ofcourse we promise a lot of things in future such as TLW moonsound.totally agree
But who donot .
Roa , well discussed and did what is/was possible.

Ro can only work if he has material. Still you have to depend on people that have little time and have other priorities.

Memorymapper has become great progress last month and already ordered the chips and is even valid for USb-reader.

Makes me 100% sure the products will come otherwise we stopped already !

If you donot want to wait or buy , no problem !!!

... which were released on the Bombaman CD as seperate files and not in the game itself. AFAIK Frederik did send a stack of tunes to you already so it could be implemented. Unfortunately a strange decision was made to wait for all tunes to be completed before the author was contacted to implement the converted music into the game... (less than) one week before Oss...

Certainly not , but it seems that this can only be done overhere and that how great I would like to do it overhere , there are other places where it also should be.
As regards e.g. TLW it was stated here on MRC. ROa I phoned with Peter directly and also to make appointments what to do next etc. So I did inform.
As regards USB-reader and Memorymapper see my statement. For other people well there are leaflets on every fair.
But I repeat that I believe and will see everything comes along , sorry for Guyver who doesnot believe it and maybe others.
But are we informed about CLS , as mentioned earlier by others compass 2, dream on,
Konami quiz,TMT network etc
It is a fact that many projects are not discussed and only putting the finger to us isnot right ...
