Well, I'm getting 238 right now, at this very moment. As are a bundle of homes... I guess it's a good thing my PC, monitor and computer are all 240V

so it was expensive !! I havn't look at the right place.

by the way how is going MNbios ? dont understand too much about that but understand that it's an amazing work. I hope your new MSX bios have success and that some dev team will do something with it.....

Here is a cheap solution,

Get your hands on a cheap european MSX1. The power supply is the for all MSX models if I'm not mistaken the same. I've had the same problem with my SANYO WAVY FDD2 (Which was a 110V japanese model). When I bought it from someone else I got a blue case with it. In the case was a home made powersupply.
The person got rid of the internal powersuply of my WAVY and used the homemade version for a powersupply (hey, it worked...)
After I blew it up I used a MSX1 powersupply and I was a happy MSX2+ user again . The only problem was that someone else put the power suply into my WAVY. Only problem now, that one died also, and I have no clue what hole on the mainboard is for the + voltage and what hole is for the - voltage.. Some here with a service manual ?

Hey, here in Toronto several electonic surplus dealers have dirt cheap and pretty good "travel kits". This kits consist of adapters for all of the world power plugs, including bizzare british and australian plugs, and a stepdown transformer 220->110 volts. The transformer is not very big, it only supports load of up to 60 watt. This is enough for a normal MSX computer, but might not be enough for a system with slot expander and all the bells and wistles in it (IDE, GFX9000, MoonSound, FM-PAK, MSX-Audio etc.etc.)

There are bigger stepdown and stepup converters, but they are not portable.

Best option is IMHO using a PC AT power supply. Especially a tiny one from early pizza-box pentium systems. They are usually 100-120 watt, which is more then enough for MSX, and are tiny and silent.

Another option is getting one of those old notebook power supplies. Some of them are universal and autodetect 110/200, and provide stable +/- 5, +/-12 and ground. All a girl needs in her life!
