I downloaded someone manuals from www.nic.funet.fi/pub/msx/docs/userguides/*.pdf .
It is PDF file. When I open it , always display "a drawing error occurred" "there was an error while try to parse an image."
I have Acrobat Reader 6.1 & 5.5 & 4.0 , and English version & Chinese version , but all of them . I had downloaded them( *.pdf ) N times (N>3), I think that "download" is good.

I want to know , which version & which language can read it right ?!

funet is full with corrupted pdf files, apparently the maintainer doesn't care...

I'm using the English version, probablty this one: AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe (can't see whether I have the full or basic version, but since the installed size is > 50MB I guess I have to full version).

You could also try the option Detect & Repair, it's in the help menu.

I've also had trouble with some .pdf files downloaded from funet. If I download many of .pdfs same time using FlashFXP, files get corrupted. But when downloading single .pdf, and not using any ftp program, the same file does not get corrupted.
Dunno what's the problem, though. And I'm using Acrobat 5.0.

Who would use such a program anyway?

Thanks anyway.

What's the "downloading single" ?
In www.nic.funet.fi/pub/msx/docs/datasheets/ , I right click the chipsay38910.pdf , and save to My Desktop. I double click this file, when it finished.
same error!

May you send a right file (chipsay38910.pdf) ? thank you very much!

http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/msx/mirrors/hanso/datasheets/

try that directory. That file should be ok.
Funet already was a maze, but now many of the files in the logical locations are corrupted too!
(Which reminds me I really have to check and change the links to these files on MSX Banzai!)

I really hope the maintainer will organise things better...

If someone sends a mail to msx-adm AT nic DOT funet DOT fi, with the necessary corrections, I'm sure the maintainer will correct it.

I had this issue then I used Adobe Acrobat Reader without Japanese support. Once I installed, all works fine!
