Is there any online vendor who's selling new DD 3.5 floppies?

I use some HD floppies with sticky tape covering the 720/1.44 hole with my MSX computers, but it's too much trouble to use them. They are really old and unreliable

I have still a large quantity of old (but otherwise unused) PC-Active DD floppies. They were left-overs from floppies that came with a PC Magazine in the NL. They are unused, but do need to be reformatted, and they have all kinds of text printed on them (including the shutter). Let me know if you're interested. You only need to pay shipping.

Manuel, I've sent an e-mail to address on your homepage. Did you received it?

Thanks

Thanks! I'm not sure how long it takes for e-mail to go from Brazil to Canada, I hope I'll get your e-mail soon!

Apologies for a newbie question, but - isn't it possible to just use an HD floppy with a sticker over the hole, like I do with an Amiga?

Yep, you can use a HD floppy. When using the HD floppy on a DD-diskdrive, there isn't even the need for taping the hole. Only needed when using a HD-diskdrive.

Arrh. Email is not like regular mail. Saying this is like, well, people speaking extra loud when they are making intercontinental calls because they can't imagine there not being a loss in volume over such a distance. Bit silly .

Seriously, email delivery is pretty much instantaneous. If your mail hasn't arrived after a few minutes, at the most an hour (for the odd exception case), you can pretty much assume it will not arrive at all.

On the topic of HD disks with taped holes - they are not as reliable as true DD disks because they were created and calibrated for a different system. So don't put any important data on them, and it is considered not done to distribute software on them either.

The disk type has a * next to it, and below it says:
"*All other formats available upon request"

So I think there's still a chance they do DD disks, you just have to inquire about it.

I've sent those guys an e-mail about further diskette orders, but they didn't answer...
Yet I hope they do sometime...
