Just one last minute question: it goes to Sunrise boys

Eduardo, I think that Sunrise guys aren't boys, I think they are very mature and not that young. I bet they are in their late 30s or early 40s

You could've added some remark of going to uni, but these days age doesn't matter that much anymore when it comes to going to any degree of school.

Lets get this topic back on track, splitting it in two subquestions

1) If the 'amateur community' were to release a new MSX Computer (eMSX2++, CIEL3++, ...), what would be its purpose, what would be your expectations? What does it need to be able to do before you buy it?

2) If a new commercial one chip MSX were to be released for $100, building on the ideas behind MSX, this lecture and this presentation. What would be its purpose, what would be your expectations? What does it need to be able to do before you buy it?

Both at the same time. You see the pre-developments from Ese you can conclude that the developments inside the fpga show an internal vdp, internal z80 , and so on.
Ese leaves the possibility for amateur scene by using the slave-mode.

The only thing and perhaps most important way is to keep compatibility with the R800

/me doesn't care much about MULUB and MULUW

As long as we have invalid instruction traps and enough CPU speed so we can emulate their behaviour .
