You can't compare Japanese prices with the price that is asked here in Europe.
Those Jap MSX's have to be imported which costs quite much too.

Oh... Turbo-R has got lots of goodies...
  • R800 (equiv 20MHz Z80)
  • 512kB RAM (ST has 256)
  • 32kB SRAM (ST has 16)
  • V9958 (19000+ colors, smooth scrolling)
  • DOS 2.3x built in (GT can boot from ROM disk)
  • JIS 1 & 2 ROMS (for japanese software)
  • MSX-MUSIC built in (with ROMs)
  • PCM (8 bit sample playing & recording)
  • MSX MIDI interface (GT only)
And lots of other neat things I am forgetting. It's a really nice computer...

Well in regard of some auctions, it is not that expensive.

Makes you wonder how some people come up with prices like that... 230€ for a Sony MSX1 ?
