I've seen this happening on a normal forum I visited, years ago. From the moment when there were public fights and junk-topics, the core ppl moved away to another forum.

First of all, it's hypocrisy.

Second, all people who are getting personal in these forums: I respectfully submit that it is time for you to grow up and maybe take a break . You've established a fine community here, so don't destroy it with your own hands. Think about how it looks to outsiders or people who have been out of the MSX scene and return here out of curiosity, only to find something resembling the petty infighting that destroyed so much of the MSX community before. I don't know what your fights are about and frankly I don't care either, I just know that it doesn't exactly leave a good impression with the occasional visitor and probably spoils the fun for regulars.

Finally, an advantage of any forum over a direct conversation is that you actually have time to think before hitting enter or the submit button. I think some people here should take more advantage of this.

It's hypocrisy. Like all fora this place is full of Pharisees, but it's still nowhere near as bad as the average football forum. So don't be over-emotional, it's just the fucking Internet.

To be honest, I don't get this. Why did you open this topic if you prefer to use your time for useful stuff? Usually people open topics if they *do* want to discuss things.
