There's a Zanac-Ex "cheat" I don't understand. When you pause the game just before the game-over song starts, a different, faster song sets in.
Whatfor?

Hmm... I do know when you press SELECT at game over just before the music starts you'll get a different one. Maybe it's just a hidden feature. I didn't know it would also be possible to get when you pause just before it... Maybe you accidentally pressed the SELECT key as well.

Could well be. But is it just the music that changes or does it activate some extra in the game? Great games btw, Zanac-Ex and the Alestes; unrivaled by anthing on any platform.
