So Microsoft sucks because you can't handle computers and/or the import/export settings of a software program? Get a life!

LOL ehm, rtfm?
I have imported my mailbox & address book as well last week.. Well over 2,5 gigs. Went without ANY problem
But you could consider using Mozilla Thunderbird. This programm also has an option to import M$ Outlook (Express) folders, so..

I got almost 19 years of good computation work, and as OS programmer and aplication programer, surely i know perfectly when a process fail in the midle.

MICROSOFT SUCKS ANYWAY!!!...

Anyway , after a lot of work (downgrading / upgrading) i get my emails folders.

Just is SHIT, sometime happens... and what?!!!...

that say a lot of the software quality of the PC world, and if his mentors do that, so i don't will be amazed by anything... and the stability of the system is a mirror of the 8 points of 10 in quality.

WHY I NOT STARTED IN A MAC!!!!!..... now is too late..

There's this saying "High trees catches lotsa wind" (loosely translated from Dutch hehe) And it's true, although we all have our negative emotions layed out in the M$ path, we cannot deny the fact that, in this age, lotsa ppl benefit from products like Windblows etc. Sure there are alternatives, and sure they are good (like M$ stuff) but let's face it.. isn't Windblows just a nice piece of code work? It's a huge project and I would love to have some credit of it.. but hey we're just some poor saps trying to figure out if all of this is worth it and if we shouldn't just stick to MSX programming anyway.
Well Microsoft sucks and Fly here is just an amazing programmer... after all he has about 19 years of computer usage as a solid aliby (did I spell that correctly?)

I never had that many problems using any outlook version (hmm, I'm known to lie now and then.. eh) And have to give thumbs up to the coders of any mail client I've used, and liked, so far. could have done it better myself prob.. but hey.. hehe, j/k.

oh well, I'll just get back and start working on some old 8bit computer program again.. let's see where was that source again...... sigh

Actually, MSX-DOS2 was made by an English company (forgot its name) and was based on MSX-DOS1 which was ... right. M$. Yay!

I don't understand why MRCF tolerate childish remarks such as "Microsoft sucks". They claim to have good connections with businesses related to MSX, some of them even seem to visit the Resource Center regularly. I don't think it will look very stylish to have these remarks on the website as it's rather unprofessional and boring. Attention seeking, really.

However, I do understand some of the frustration caused by (in this case) outlook. Of course. Still, it's old news and part of life.

Well, here as in any country of this world, exist something called opinion freedom, well maybe not in all countries... anyway... every if the given opinion is not a personal insult and if is perfectly arbitrary, without lateral and/or personal bad-intentionally. For me is a readable and allowed opinion. But, is just a opinion from someguy and not a politics of the website!. And as i understand, in the policies of the use of the MRC say perfectly, //Everything on the msx.org domain, except for reactions on newsposts, forum entries and files in the freeware downloads database, is copyrighted by The MSX Resource Center//

So, if i not use my post for:
to insult, to revile, or using bad words,
direct or indirectly to give a false, or not well deliberated opinion or bad-intentionally opinion,
or without knowing / to prove / to tested / to verify ... but anyway, (although to make errors is of human, and for that exist the possibility to retract)

In this case, i can say perfecly MICROSOFT SUCKS ANYWAY, why? because all we know that the soft is of a mediun quality, all surelly we have head painfuls and angry sometime in our life.

And lose data or can't makes use of our data is the more frustrant painful.

Ofcourse, in these years, overall after the release of WIN XP, the microsoft quality jump to a high level. Ofcourse we can't ask for perfection!!!. But, i remeber no far in time the dissaster of win98 / 98 se, with its 47 patch to get a full upgraded from microsoft upgrade.... in the past the "high quality level" is not just a policie of microsoft. Now it is.

But here i not are talking about freezes or hungs....i are talking just about the INPORT/EXPORT address book..... Why i can't import the addresses book makes by Outlock express 5 with the 6. IF the file format change, why not exist a option in the menu INPORT for oldest WAB files.

Anyway, after a lot of work i makes work the inport of the emails folders.

I already resigned to make the same thing with the addresses book

Wha... Uzix isn't quite finished yet (I still think it can use some optimizations). Even on a Turbo R things slow down :|

And tip one:

Do not put personal things in outlook like adress info&mail adresses

there r still trojanhorses who love to hijack your email adresses stored in outlook to spam to your friends!

Mostly this horses apear in mails like:

Virus Warning
virus news

look for alternitives to store you adresses like:

an agenda
or adressbook
