Game Master

Penguin Adventure

Salamander

Nemesis 3

Nemesis 2

(thanks to generation-msx.nl/)

I miss something?

F-1 Spirit

The Maze of Galious

and King´s Valley II, which is like a hybrid from the two formats:

(I think I took it from users.pandora.be/BluePrint/MSX/, thanks too)

The King's Valley 2 box is the same size as all those other titles released in Europe, or at least in the Netherlands.. and the other King's Valley is King's Valley 1, which is released in the 'normal-sized' orange box.

Yeah, I know it, but want I wanted to say is that the box has the same design as the others, without borders like the bigger formart. King´s Valley appears in the photo because I haven´t a better one.....

Cool even penguin adventure and nemesis2 in small box.
Why they made and sold those little boxes?
As a burgain? to sell the last cartrigdes in stock?

Nemesis 3, as far as I know, was only released in this format. But perhaps that is the reason, a small box is cheapier to transport and sell.

They should invent boxes that don't wear&tear

Funny that the game master box has a megarom logo while in fact the game master isn't a megarom.

Well... My in eighties bought Game Master, Penguin Adventure, F1-Spirit,Nemesis 3, Salamander and Maze Of Galious are all in small boxes... box colors differs a lil thought..

And my Game Master is not a liar, like yours is... It´s box doesn´t pretend to be Megarom...

The only thing I know is that Nemesis 3 is printed in Japan (as seen on the little box) and those bigger white boxes (well bigger?) are printed in the UK!!!

Yeah, the only one of that small box I actually bought in the stores back then is Nemesis 3, all those other titles were released in a somewhat larger box. None of those are as cool as those 'huge' Japanese boxes

Then that's the 'big' box. None of them are as big as the japanese boxes, but those are called 'huge'

Interesting observation!
Using smaller boxes would be cheaper with shipping from japan... I should check my small F1-Spirit box...

Yes Guyver800 you are right I think... just check the backside photo of Nemesis 2, there you see it: printed in Japan.... So as well as my Nemesis 3...

So it is confirmed that the small full color boxes are printed in Japan and made for shipping and selling in Europa while the Japanese themself has the huge boxes....

But the bigger white boxes that we all know here in Europe are printed in the UK.

My unanswered question is now: to which countries did Konami shipped the little full color boxes??? I have never seen them before... not even on fairs...

but that could also have something to do with my bad eye sight...

Maybe a question for that not-yet-held interview with that ex-Konami employee?!?!??!

indeed, that would be a good question! Why don't you post it in the thread about the interview?

The small box F1-Spirit I bought at the V&D or Dixons I think... Definitely in a shop in NL.
