sampling some parts of the original might be nice. It *can* underline a nice contrast.

As long as it doesn't become the core of the track..

Almost done with the first tune... The longer it takes until the challenge gets official, the bigger the chance that I manage to squeeze out more

Cheers to Lan-Jieuwe for the nice prey...

Heh, the time I made a song in a day is long gone...I always take the extra effort I never took before. I take it it doesn't really matter if people start arranging before the challenge is official? I always get inspiration from just talking about it, and of course listening to all the old stuff again. I want to do at least two entries, one Impact, one FAC.

Oh and I'll let Lieuwe know...he's coming by tomor...today to drop of his keys. He'll be in Malaysia for five weeks and I have to take care of his plants

Rudi: It's not a one day job I'm in and it consumes loads of free time... Though it goes quite quick since i put most of my free time in it at the moment...

The tune in 1 hour period is quite far behind me as well...

If someone's in for orchestral/romantic/fantasy'ish stuff from me I can recommend "aproaching the force" from RMF music disk 1. Cheesy sounds by now, but the notes stand as a house. It was actually this song I showed to my piano-techer upon which he said "why don't you try to study composition?" (I hadn't thought about it before) So it's even a symbolic song this one..

Oh ok I didn't look before I asked

Why did your teacher say that anyway? 'OMG this sucks, you better study composition!!'

or was more like 'you got some talent, you should study this'

One hour? That's what it takes me to select, tweak, sample, tune an instrument and make a wavetable out of it...

Hoping to find some time to finish my (first) tune at devcon...
