Looks pretty sweet!
Can't wait to hear more
Is there any casing available that fits the pcb? |

That is a good question, I used the same measurements as an FM-pac but it might also fit into the casing that sunrise is using for their CF reader. There are no holes in the PCB those needs to be drilled on the exact location. As I have both FM-pac and CF reader at home I can work on that too now I have the real PCB in hand.
It is pretty hard to place the holes in the exact location in a program
And I am also looking into getting the whole design in a CPLD so I can built it into a SCC cartridge easily. But that is still WIP |

Hello.
I'm a MSX Player in South Korea.
This is MMC/SD Drive Ver.2.2 made by PCB panel, KONAMI SCC Rom cartridge.
It's very fit and compact.(looks so nice) Some foreign MSX Players who bought
MMC/SD Drive are satisfying that so much.
I'd like to enjoy it with many MSX Players.

I am working on getting v2.2 working with the help of a cpld. Then the pcb can be even much smaller and I might be able to put it in a konami casing too without much fuss
Otherwise I will use the same size as V1.0 and use the sunrise casing if I can get any more |

Sunrise CF works great but is not very handy for using dsk images. The mmc interface is a disk emulator so you can play all dsk images (even multi disk ones) from an SD card. The version I have made is the slowest one (40 KB/s) but that is enough for playing disk based games from sd card. Also this version is pretty cheap if you have an scc chip at hand.
Costs are around 40 euro's for a complete product (excl shipping). But you will need to get a casing yourself as Sunrise is out of CF casings
If you are interested let me know |

I am interested in this device too. Price (40 euro) is with no scc included?
Thank you

around 40 euros is for the complete pcb including the flashrom, sd card slot and ttl logic and no SCC and no DAC.
Either you solder an scc chip yourself in the pcb or you supply me with an scc cartridge and I can do it for you or pay extra and I can supply one
I still hope to get it working without an scc chip as it is a shame to butcher old konamis.
I was lucky to buy some nos scc chips |

I just played around with it. Strong point is that now I can finally play those diskbased games again!!!
This piece of hardware is the bomb! Although it is a bit dificult to start with. But after finding out how it works... -> \o/
@Erikie: Thanks BIG time.

Note that NoWind is also pretty effective to play disk games |

How much it should cost to include an SCC chip?
Can I store several .DSK files on it, or do I need to:
Remove SD
save the DSK
run it on MSX
(sw ask for disk 2)
Remove SD
save the DSK
run it on MSX
...
+ shipping to Brazil?

You can store a lot of files on it. It can use SD cards up to 256Mb. Even if you have a card of 2Gb it can only fill up to 256Mb. You will see it can hold too many games to play. Using a windows utility for storing the data on the card is very convenient. Sent me an email to evanson (@) quicknet.nl for more details.
We can work something out as I still have one complete set lying around.
If any more people are interested I need to have more pcbs made.
I will start doing that from 5 pieces on ...
