Dunno if you have enough insight in Stefan's engine, but I have some good suggestions which would (normally) not take that much effort (the music data for example; we can free the 6k. and have music files loaded dynamically ANY where in RAM as Midas was designed to do in the first place)

I have a fairly good insight in the engine. My knowledge about memory management is a bit lacking though.

Any suggestions are welcome.

that's the beauty of MMU; you need not to concern about memory! just *ask* for some memory and 'ave a ball with it. In the FRL files just change the music file entries into non-static memory adr (auto load) and the replayer will pop up the ol' tune like nothing happened.

I'll have another look on the whole MB-WAVE ish and let ya know how much an effort it'll be in the end.

Don't feel bad about it. It's what I do as well....Oh, the things I've seen, what I've experienced....

Er.. don't let this post get to your 'oh I feel all warm and fuzzy'-side, the most notable experiences are in the 'what will break down today'-area .
