There is only week left to put the bounce entry together, so I'm interested what are the prices ???^3
I have so much stuff in my todo-list, that I really don't know, how I can get it working in a week (I should do also other things you know). I'm just wondering, is it worth of leaving nights without sleep or should I just cut more things out of the demo?
I just need some external motivation and a reason to spank my self. :-)

You don't have to participate in the bounce challenge. I think most people enter just for the fun of development, whether or not they win anything.

Thank you for your comment. It is always nice to get support from other MSX users.
I agree, that I would not code for MSX, if I would not happen to like it, but anyway... prices were promiced long time ago to be anounced "soon", and if you really bother to make something well, it is not always just fun... at least when deadline is tomorrow, and you have not been sleeping for couple of nights. I'm bad in graphics, slow coder and bad & slow in music. It is also my fault, that I didn't start early enough, I agree.
I think, that there would be quite a much more MSX software, if people would even try to be more nice to each other and not only teaching philosophy. You can be sure, that there is no one that really makes MSX programs to get rich or something like that. Just to give an example, L!T & Bandwagon came from other platforms, did few demos and stopped as there was practically no any positive responce. Espetially people, who try to get into MSX coding seem to get very negative reactions, and I think that IS sad.
*sigh* Maybe I'm just too tired, and read your comment too hard between the lines... I just can't see the point of your mail.

NYYRIKKI: I don't see any negative point from Bifi's message here. But I think he is trying to say that you are not forced to work on a next entry.
If you can finish one in time, you are more then welcome here
But if it will make you end up with sleepless nights (and influence your dailly behaviour) then I whould recommend: don't write one in such a short notice.
Ps,
I appreciate your work!

They'll get positive reactions and support on #msxdev @ Rizon, that's for sure!
There's quite a few beginning MSX programmers 'in training' there
(and ofcourse also advanced and experienced coders)
Besides, I wonder what reactions you mean... Which person tried to get into MSX coding and got negative reactions, and where? |

Actually, my point is that the prizes shouldn't be your only target to enter a challenge. For me it isn't, I enter challenges mainly for the fun of MSX coding.
That's what I got from NYYRIKKI's initial post: Give me a reason to make something for the challenge. He also said he has more projects on his todo-list which resulted in that, apparently negative, reaction.

Sorry, I must that I was just too tired... Yesterday was a typical day when nothing works... Hurry like in hell, always someone interrupting, none of the code I wrote worked from the start, and I even ended up messing up already working code. *sigh*
It is just SO fustrating when you simply have to stop hasling around, take one step back, take a deep breath and admit to your self: "No, you simply don't have time to get this all done." then throw away many days work and start to search for plan B to make even something reasonable out of the mostly working code fragments. You know... If I just would not need to go to work every day etc. etc.

I know that feeling well. Weeks, days or just hours of work and nothing works right. In the end you decide to recode most of it to get it working the way you want it. Quite frustating indeed.
