We received the following e-mail from repair-bas via e-mail:

You can use them to use for example a Turbo R on 230 Volt.
It is a very small converter, just like an adapter, but you can use it in every 220-240 volt electricity point.
So there are no problems anymore to put it in a powerpoint with earth contact.
One converter is enough for a Japanese or American computer.
It has its own fuse and power led.
Input 220-240 V AC 50 Hz
Output 110-120 V AC 60 Hz
Soon as possible are there pictures on my website, just like the cables, drive belts and other parts
The price at this moment is 15,-- excl shipping
If you want more than one the price is going lower

I guess with the shipment price, even within the Netherlands, you can as well buy one in an electronics shop, no ?
Where I live they cost about 18 euro... but of course when you go get it at Bas's home, it's a bit cheaper

Actually for 15e I think it is more like 150-170V... At least, that would not be first time...

the TR not needs iirc 105 or 110v? and if it is 120v it hots?

Well, mine has run from anything between 110V and 150V, and it still seems to work... The poor thing took a lot of abuse in Costa Rica... Every time they have brown-outs the 'sinewave' of the AC current looks more like the scope part from unknown reality than a sinewave! |

It is correct, no 60 Hz output, 50 Hz
I have checked the converter and it is really 112 volt without a computer and with a computer a few voltages lower.
It is perfect for a Turbo-R and it is not getting hot.
