| Thanks Jazzy and Hans! Hope the Network manual will find its way into scanning, too
|
I think Jazzy has had no opportunity yet to send the docs to me, so I did not scan yet. But surely it will happen! |

Yes it will, I came back yesterday from a short vacation in Germany. Beautiful country but would be nicer without the Germans.
I hope to send the documentation this week, |

Most of the comments in the sources are in Japanese |

Not a problem, blueMSX and openMSX teams include each a Japanese member |

| I can do the OCR and proofreading, and maybe translation to English of the russian part of NetBIOS manual (if anybody is interested)
|
Of course, cax, it would be very interesting
|
Well, I've already translated the half of Net Basic manual I got from tnt23 (Ru->En), but because my English is not perfect I'd like someone to help me to "polish" the translation, anyone ?
Now, back to manuals scans we all waiting for.
1) I do remember that NetBIOS manual had russian and english sections, but I don't remember which part was in Russian only, which in English only, and which was in both languages. Can the person who currently holds the manual give me this info ?
I'd like to know what requires translation to English and what does not.
2) While Net Basic and NetBIOS manuals we have at least in Russian (I got text files from tnt23), the YM3802 manual is still required in order to continue MSXLink project and maybe for emulators authors. Is there any chance we will see it scanned ?
10x in advance for answering, scanning and any other help. |

Jazzy:
10x a lot !
As a gift, very soon you will get a Net Basic manual, translated to English.
I expect to finish translation in 1-2 coming weeks.
Just as I said before, I still need somebody to proofread my translation...
anybody ?

Nice quality documenst! And I have started scanning! More than 200 pages, so it will take some days. And the documents will have to go to funet, they will be quite large. |

Exciting news!!!
My 805 is on the way to Toronto right now (along with two TURBO 2+ motherboards, 10xZ84C008, 10xCXA and 10xYM chips)
I can help with translation a little. More on proofreading side, since I'm fluent in both Russian and English. |

Since networking documents are being scanned and they are on their way to funet, I think it will be a good idea to wait until HansO makes them available - so I will be able to borrow some terms and other missing info from there and only then I will give my translation to volunteers for proofreading.
10x to all who wants to help !

I have started the scan work.
To give you an impression of the books, I have placed the scans of front and contents pages online at the Whats New page on http://www.hansotten.com |
