I remember, that looong time ago I've seen very much Wolf3D type of game engine for GFX9000. It did not have enemy or collision detection with walls, but iirc, there was textures on the floor and walls.

If people can make Doom on Spectrum, it is sure possible to make Wolf3D on MSX! (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/anestis/soft.htm)

That's a good idea, indeed... A nice challenge, a first person maze... By the way, someone sent a screenshot of a game made with polygons. Raycasting is WAY faster than that.

I have seen this 3D engine for the GFX9000 as well. It looked nice but the it had a very poor framerate. If you would use such an engine for a real game, it would bet too slow.
