Probably this game has a cult status in Japan, like Konami's MG2 here in Western countries.
Never heard of this game thou, can anybody provide an English title for it ?

It's a game created by Yuji Horii in his early days. He eventually creates Dragon Quest series. It's also the last ADV type game by him. (Not counting the conversion adaptation, etc.) He was known to make killer mystery adv game and this one had a most humor with adult oriented taste. (Some fans think it's one of his best adv because of that.) Anyways it was published on various platforms and most of them has premium price to it nowadays.

Almost any Enix productions have a cult status in Japan, afaik.

That reminds me of my one and only Enix title in the shelf: J.E.S.U.S.. Looking to the screenshots on the back tells me it's a kind of Snatcher adventure game. Never tried to play it though
Honestly, I don't see why Enix games are so popular; they don't have a tremendous gameplay, they don't have graphics or music that stand above all else... It's just weird. |

Enix use to be an very interesting company, especially the early era's which they sponsored the largest computer game contest in early 80's. A lot of famous creators were born from this contest and it was also a way to discover new talents too.
Until the late mid 80's Enix was mostly released software which was submission from amateur creators. What they also did was help them complete a program from a still rough stage and even from an ideas.
In late 80's they turn there production by organizing a group by project basis. So they were known as company that doesn't really have inhouse development team like rest of the software companies.
So like D-Tail mention some games don't have appealing graphics due to not having a specific designer for that job. Also most MSX games were conversion from other platform and there is really a few games which was written originally for MSX. (Convertion was done by freelancer as well.) So maybe Enix wasn't the top MSX game maker but considering the amount of game they release on all platform it's quite amazing. (They are also related to Comptiq which did japanese conversion of foreign softwares.)
Oh, by the way the price on the above auction is way to pricy for an MSX version. (I've got almost entire ENIX MSX titles with that price!) lol
