The question is simple, but the answer is not evident !

How many MSX emulators have been developed for Win/DOS systems ?
Give the complete list !

To be precise :
- you must count each different fMSX clone (example : fMSX-DOS and fMSX-SDL are two different emulators)
- if an emulator exists for DOS and Windows, you count 2 emulators (example : MESS)
- if an emulator has a variant developed by another guy, you must count also the variant
- you can't count the beta version of the MSX-PLAYer !
- only emulators for Windows or MS-DOS !

Good luck !

O_o

You do understand that counting each variant would give like 100+ emus?!?

Hm, does the Java MSX emulator count? (JVM running on Windows? )

fMSX/DOS, fMSX/SDL, BlueMSX, RedMSX, NLMSX, RuMSX, BrMSX, paraMSX, CJB MSX Emulator, openMSX/Win, Virtual MSX . I'm sure a missed a few...

[edit : I dunno why, but MSXPlayer, apparently doesn't count - removed]

More than 100 emus ????
No, when I speak of variants, it must be developed by another guy than the original emulator ....

So, don't count all the blueMSX versions for example !

21 emulators ... that's a good try !

But some emulators are missing and you should also precise if an emulator exists in 2 versions (for DOS and for Windows) - example : MESS or if 2 versions made for DOS (or Windows) are made by two different guys

Actually, that would be two variants, since there's two 'different' ports for I don't know what kind of difference in the phones/OSes...

fMSX/DC and DreamMSX for Dreamcast/Linux users. Doesn't qualify for DOS/Win emus though
