Hmm... The problem is that you'd prolly need a multimeter to figure out what type of connector your MSX has (although I think it's this one) nor what type of cable it is you have there. Since some MSX computers can have 5V+ and 12V+ on their monitor connectors it's probably not a good idea to just try the cable and see what happens. I'm also not very sure the monitor you have can even work without RGB signals...

This link tells you what monitor connector it has. I think it is the same as you mentioned.

Well, that still leaves the problem of figuring out what kind cable you have and if the monitor can work with just a CVBS signal...

Hmm, I think I will get a cable for a normal TV tomorrow... That should work anyway.

Thanks again for the support. This forum is almost as friendly as the forum on Lemon64 (www.lemon64.com)

lemon64... sounds faintly familiar...

wasn't that the place where some MSX nutcase started yelling like 'C64 is dead, buy MSX!'? That wasn't me , but it just struck my eye

Ha well, I don't believe in up- or downgrading. At least, not when wintel bricks are unconcerned. Every step from a Wintendo to a home computer is an upgrade, imo

No prblem to connect the computer to a commodore monitor

The only thing you need is cable from 8-pin din (msx) to 2 chinch connectors (audio and Video)
