Dang! That sure is a lot of cash... If only I could see the face of the poor japanese guy that sold this game to ronnie for 30 dollars

that's the risk Ronnie takes, sometimes he win, sometimes he loose
That's the life of a seller.
I am happy that Ronnie import Japanese games.
Thanks R. klok!!!

No, don't get me wrong... I'm happy too... It's just funny that some people in Japan have no idea for what prices the games they sell are going to go for on the European market. I'm guessing Ronnie mostly buys lots tho...

Not quite right... titles such as Solid Snake or FF or SD Snatcher cost a lot too in Japan...

Dutch market mostly; it's ridiculous how the prices are boosted up here. Ppl in Brazil might never get a chance at a game because we boost up the prices on ebay that much.
That's why I have a comparatively small MSX collection compared to most Dutch users who are still into it or into it again. I have a limit to what I want to spend, despite liking the system much; and I already spent way more on it than on any other classic system anyway (not that that's a hard thing to do)

Hehe, tell me about it!!! You're talking to a guy that only has Xak2 (thanks to ronnie, I might add ) But anyhoo, it is indeed odd how prices for some of those games can really skyrocket... And if this MG crap continues on PS2 I have a distinct feeling there won't be any MSX users with a Solid Snake left in the near future

I'm quite happy with my Falcom collection Ys1-Ys3, Dragonslayer 3, 4 and 6 and of course I also have Konami's Metal gear 1+2....I also have Elite and Bubble Bobble btw. I wanted FF too, but since the break-in at engine where some personal stuff got stolen as well I told Ronnie I wouldn't be bidding on it...

That's too bad... I'm an actual MicroCabin collector, but on the other hand a poor student as well :\... I've now got Xak1, 2 and The Tower of Gazzel, The Tower of Cabin, Daisenryaku, Super Daisenryaku, DaisenRyaku II - Campaign version, Princess Raper, Maison Ikkoku, Maison Ikkoku Final and Illusion City. Errr.... that's all concerning MicroCabin. Furthermore I've some KOEIs, some Burai 1 & 2, some Emerald Dragon, some Dragonslayers, a Rune Worth, some Ys's, Ikari, GraphSaurus, and ehm... a lot more

Would like to have FF as well, but that's still too expensive for me. I wouldn't pity having a Solid Snake or so as well, though I'm not a Koenami collector . Lost my bids on Fray and Undeadline last time... *sigh*... :\

I hate the bidding system. Always in the last minute someone pops by, places a higher bid in the last second and when you have decided you want to give even more, the auction is finished .

After Ronnie's previous auction, there are some people who I don't even know but who I don't like Snatching away those games in the very last second

It is a fair system, so everybody get a change.

But you have to be allert that you have a limit

It works fine for most of the goods that are being offered, but as soon as it gets to rare collector's items, sometimes the phenomenon I wrote about occurs and it becomes impossible to place a bid higher than the previous person did, even though you have lead the auction up to the last minute.

May be fair, but it feels kind of awkward.

Rikusu is right, although I must admit that I used the last-minute-bidding myself a couple of times as well (do you still like me, Rikusu? ). It doesn't really make you popular indeed, especially if you haven't even placed a single bid on the item earlier.

I think it would be great for both the seller, who will get more earnings, and the buyers if eBay could extend the time-limit when a new bid is placed ~5 minutes before the ending of the auction, giving all potential buyers the opportunity to respond to such last minute bids. "Eenmaal, andermaal" anyone?

That would be a nice solution, indeed
