Yeepz.
I was browsing Korean sites, and I came accross the following: The Daewoo KOBO. I seems to be yet another type of Zemmix system, but with a specially designed monitor.
I'll have to update my Zemmix site again

Sci-fi. I wonder what the orange thing is meant to do. I remember seeing a video documentary on South Korea once. They also showed the role of videogames. It was very cool!
There was this constructionworker in a crane playing some kind of MSX game (I believe it was Quarth or something) on a Zemmix console. It wouldn't surprise me if these Zemmix'es were subsidised or something. There were complete classrooms filled with row upon row of console computers, all Zemmix, as I recall.
Btw: anybody outthere that has got Super Boy 3? Best MSX-game ever!

I have Super Boy 1, but maybe on one of my multicarts there's another, I don't know
By the way, the "orange thingie" can be cnnected using the joystick port.
This thing must have been for some game that was sold with the console (maybe the cartridge you see on the pics).
If you watch the keyboard, you can see 2 holes.
The "orange thingie" can be fixed on the keyboard using those.
Oh actually here is that game:

Lots of neat things, I like the scan of old commercials for the Turbo Zemmix. Too bad this site is not en English so we can understand, it seems very detailed. |

Haha, this guy seems to have everything an MSX rarity collector dreams of
Babelfish wasn't very helpful in translating the texts
All I could discover is the following:
- orange "joystick" thingie
Is a keyboard for children, which could be used with the cartridge (see pics).
This was educational soft for learning the Korean alphabet, what seems to be very cool about it, is that the entire alphabet is spoken !!!
- This console appeared in the beginning of the '90s, and dissappeared from the market almost as fast as it appeared (too bad isn't it).
- I'm not sure about this, but it seems this thing had internal SCC and/or FM. But I can't confirm, because the translated texts (babelfish) seem to be written by a drunk person, ROFL.
- The console was MSX 2 compatible.
- The "monitor stand", is indeed just that, a monitor stand. However it contains a drawer in which you could store things like cartridges.
That's all I figured out so far

Hey, Maggoo, thanks I didn't think of checking for info on my Zemmix Turbo, but I did now
The publicity folder is indeed great, I will try to get it translated by my friend.
A babelfish translation of the info on the Turbo model tells me it was indeed the reaction of Daewoo on the MSX 2+, which I already suspected because of the turbo and pause buttons on that model.

Haha, the rumours seem to have been correct !
The Zemmix Turbo has internal SCC, it is built into the PSG if I read it correct, is that possible ???

Him D right su 2 the SCC sound which also the same SCC ROM pack tries to execute comes out being small. wayn As only it comes out there being a balance from re-mix possibility ladling V and the turbo like the X-2 the SCC sound is buried in the PSG. The treatment electron SCC sound does not put in mind and not to be board plan retired life the bedspread which is same. Where line lwu me with to the re-mix turbo the treatment electron had built-in the SCC sound unit chip in former times talk the stronghold is same.
