Hello

I'm the owner of a LPE-san3-V2 soundcard, it's a great msx item.

Two 512kb flashroms (SCC flash for 128/256/512kb) and (FMpac flash for 32kb roms) It works perfect!
and has a PSG, SCC and fmpac (see foto) 4 in one.

(your question), yes you can put your scc/fmpac/psg games work without problem, and you'll 2 512kb flash memory for your games

Regards!

Two questions:

1) What tools do you use to flash SCC ROMs? I only know FL2 and OPF

2) Is that Ikea table under the PCB?

Well, to me, Ikea is a great canadian company. All my furniture, most of my lights and even AA batteries are all from Ikea. Yeah, and don't forget this great big blue laundry bags for only a dollar!

Seriously, what software is used to flash this sound card? I'm thinking about getting it, since it looks like it offers more bang for a buck compared to MegaFlashSCC... And I have a brutalized SCC cart I got with one of my eBay purcases - Nemesis 3 with ROM IC gutted out It can serve as a donor for SCC chip.

Another thing: is installation of PSG and FMPAC chips mandatory or optional? I have PSG and FMPAC in all my MSX2+ and TurboR systems already

The most important question: do I still have to change switches to flash? It's a major drawback of FLASH-G cartridges compared to MegaFlashSCC.

Hello dhau

your questions:

1) What tools do you use to flash SCC ROMs? I only know FL2 and OPF
L.Padial design a software for download programs in the two flashes(SCC and FMPAC flashes), from HD, FD or you can download programs from your PC by using the paralllel bidirectional port card for msx: http://lpadial.aamsx.org/pagef.HTM .
Using from pc "BlackBox" suite.

2) Is that Ikea table under the PCB?
Yes of course

Best Regards

Hmm... I hope it's rather 'Another broken Konami cartridge'... I've heard of some cannibalizing going on before though. In all fairness though, there's prolly more Salamander carts out there than the world really needs
