Yep, that's the Korean version indeed... though I think he's a bit overenthousiastic with that € 219 starting bid.

yes, overenthousiastic indeed. i feel sorry for the person who buys this game, not knowing that this is not an "original". as far as i can see the game is presented as an original game....:-( so i think there are enough interested people to sell to....

I've talked with Jorito on IRC about this a few years ago and it seems the ROM is the unmodified Solid Snake sold in Japan in a different casing and a smaller box.

There are several games that were legally licensed in Korea.
As I know, there are three Konami games as follows.
- Nemesis3
- Metal Gear2
- Quarth
Korean version Metal Gear 2 is original one and in smaller case with brief manuel. (This manuel is crap compared with Japanese one) The catridge case is also different from Japanese one and there are no Konami logo on the back.
I also have a Korean version Metal Gear 2 (I bought it when it was released here in Korea) and I'm so sorry that manuel is missing now. Of course I have also Japanese one now and I think Japanese one is much better for collection as all of you guess.

The game offered on eBay is an original Japanese ROM. I've had several and they were all the same size, the same manual and the same cartridge.
Manual is in Japanese and 56 pages long. ROM has the Konami logo on the back.

In that case, I guess that is the right Japanese one. Maybe, the pictures are somewhat vague that others take it as Korean version.
If the manuel is in Japanese, the case is as big as normal Japanese Konami megarom games and lastly Konami logo on the catridge back, It must be Japanese one, of course.

ok strange, then it is a original Japanese Metal gear 2 Rom with original Manual in a korean box?
Box seems to be smaller then the orignal Konami box.
About the korean manual.
Tha manual is in full colour and got 10 pages, with screenshots from the game.
The Cartrigde is a tyoical korean one, but the rom inside is official Konami.
I will take some pictures of it.

The size of the Konami box is the same as the Snatcher and SD-Snatcher box: 6.47x9.01 (WxH in inches). If somebody can measure the Korean box...

So how can u determine from the picture that it is a Korean one??? I'm confused.
By the way, the box is the same size as the Snatcher/SD Snatcher Box, unless these were done in Korea as well of course...
