It's not Bubble Bobble...

Hint: this particular fragment begins around the 20th second
Hint: the game name is a bit of a trick question and that will be clear when the answer is given

Nope, it's not Niko²

You are close though... in a way... as the game is from Micro Cabin.

Hmm Super Daisenryaku II Campaign Version aka Great Strategy II aka Big Strategy II ?
And if this one happens to be right. I won't be putting up a new question up befor tomorrow's afternoon. So if there's anyone with no real life or just likes to come up with a new question after his evening night shift or after some party then go ahead. it would safe me the time of makeing a new question.

You may breathe easily again, because you're incorrect.

Final hint: psst, it's PSG you hear here.

The answer was... Illusion City.

This fragment was recorded from The Tower of Cabin which contains some Illusion City tunes in PSG-only (which Illusion City most likely doesn't have since both MSXturboR machines have MSX-MUSIC built-in anyway) the actual tune in this fragment originates from Illusion City.

Easy one again:
  1. What's the name of the famous MSX turboR 3D Race Game?
  2. How many levels (including bonus levels) does this game have?

Now for Q2: How many levels? it's less than 30

Uhh... it's been quite dead for a while; The number of levels is 20. 4 worlds*4 levels and each world has 1 bonus level. That leaves 4*4+4*1=20
