Come on people, start playing Jetset Willy. It's a great game. It only took me 20 minutes to get to 'Entrance to Hades', yesterday. Yes, it was a long time since I played it.

I guess snout thought about 75 pages should be enough for a thread.

As time is running out fast, I'll consider manuals 'answer' as a serious attempt.
Looking at this map, I realised there are actually two shortest ways, so either of them will be valid

The BathRoom ------------------------ Yep
Top Landing --------------------------- Yep
First Landing -------------------------- Yep
To the Kitchens Main Stairway --- That's an option
The Kitchen ---------------------------- Yep
The Cave Mouth ---------------------- Nope

This would lead to only 9 steps to the entrance and you'll really need 12 steps in the msx version.

Come on, who will finish this up ?

I never managed to get from the top to the bottom of 'The Security Guard'. I tried for about half an hour before creating the question, but the ramp is set up not to be able to jump through it. So I really don't it's possible like that. Also it's not possible to fall under the guards when they are at the top. The guards don't go high enough and even IF it was possible the fall down would be far too big.

If it is possible, then this must be the right answer, but I really really really really doubt it.

It's time for the last hint. The map manuel suggested is pretty good, only is was modified. Reading www.mdfsnet.f9.co.uk/Software/JSW/JGH/ should make it somewhat more clear.

ok, it seems there is still no answer, so I'll give the URL to the right map. Unfortunately, it doesn't have names in it, so I guess you'll just have to combine the 2 maps together and have the answer.

I really want to see the right anwer here

The Bathroom
Top Landing
First Landing
The Nightmare Room
The Banyan Tree
Swimming Pool
West Wing
Back Stairway
The Wine Cellar
The Forgotten Abbey
The Security Guard
Entrance to Hades

... which prolly means I'll be asking the next question...

That is the route I choose at first indeed. The banyan tree is a little hard to cross, so the following sequence is a little easier.

The Bathroom
Top Landing
First Landing
To the Kitchens Main Stairway
The Kitchen
West of Kitchen
Cold Store
Back Stairway
The Wine Cellar
The Forgotten Abbey
The Security Guard
Entrance to Hades

As I said, both are valid, so BiFi, you're next.

Hmm, made a little mistake about the romsize.

Knowing Bifi a bit I'd say:

Metal Gear 2 - Solid Snake
