I tested everything I could find with 11 characters containing exactly 6 different ones, but with no success.

Question:

The MSX version of E.L.I.T.E. has a bug that can be exploited in order to travel large distances within a galaxy for minimal fuel.

Explain the exploit.

First Hint: you need to do something while the hyperdrive is counting down.

Okay, I guess noone that reads this thread played ELITE as much as I did

The trick is really simple.

  • select a near system
  • start the hyperdrive
  • press 5 to get the galatic map
  • type f and the name of the system you want to go to
  • wait for the hyperdrive to engage

You use the fuel from the original jump, but end up at the system from the galactic map!

A picture tells more then words:

Sure.

In what order do you need to use the alpha, beta, gamma and delta keys in the game "Hard Boiled" in order to get the card that opens the beta tunnels?

This one should be less hard
