well, practically speaking: last few years, the regular fairs were more of a meet 'n greet.. as there usually was hardly anything to buy. And I don't think it's bad perse, and I don't think ppl experience as being bad, they just come. Naturally, when a fair is being held at a certain distance, one might doubt whether it's worth attending. After all, it's not that on a fair, far away, there's suddenly a great deal of booths, masses of ppl, many new products, etc., like the old Tilburg/Zandvoort fairs. It's just another meet 'n greet. I can imagine however that visiting Tokyo is, regarding fairs/meetings, something different compared to the recent years here in NL. I guess it's all up to a 'do you want to meet & greet?'-choice..

A fair should not be just a "meet and greet", you can do that at you local (or nearest) MSX club where you're a member of. If you organize a fair it should be way bigger, like in the old days Tilburg and Zandvoort were.

Ofcourse, that's what it *should* be ... but will it eventually be like that? I don't think the old days of big gyms with 100+ booths and 1000+ ppl will return. Naturally, I dunno how big that Grunny-day will be .. any info you can give about the dimensions of the hall?

In the old days there was hardly time for meet 'n greet, because the fairs were so huge and there was a lot to see.. just because the size and products dropped in the last years, there was more time for meet 'n greet.

Just let me say this:
If MSX Club Groningen will organize a fair, it will be the biggest MSX event of the year. You can count on that!
But first we want our new MSX club to be a succes and have enough members.
After that we can give you more information about the possibility of a fair.

maybe it is better to make new MSX clubs spread over the netherlands who held clubdays and try to atract more MSX people (old ones and new intrested people).
After that we can try to held a big MSX fair like we had in past liket Zandvoort, Tilburg.
We now have to less, (more or less active) MSX users in holland.
I am sure ther a many many people who have a MSX standing somewhere in thier houses and the realy do not know how many people are still active or how much fun you cvan have with thier MSX.
So let's give Groningen, Marienberg and Hoorn a big boost and maybe if i removed to Doetinchem i can try to arrange a MSX club who have thier MSX days like the others and attract more users.
All msx clubs need to have some close connection with each other so we can see how the grown is rising (or not) and maybe and they can organise a big MSX fair.
