Heheh... lured you in with the topic title, didn't I!?
In fact.. MSX is not dead at all! We just had 22 newsposts within 3 days. I think that's a new record. It's not even that long ago we had to work very hard to get about the same amount of news in one single month. Both January and February were record-setting months, just looking at the amount of newsposts we posted in those months.
With the first 2 months of 2005 behind us, I think it's safe to assume the rest of 2005 is going to be an amazing year for MSX users. Just look at the amount of MSXdev entries that have been announced already. Obsonet will allow us to connect our MSX computers to our home networks (and internet!) at blazing speeds, there are several MRC Challenges to come and I'm sure many active MSX groups will bring us multiple pleasant surprises throughout the year.
MSX dead? People have been yelling that ever since 1986 now. Only one answer is possible: "Nothing, my friend, could be further from the truth!"
Cheers!

I agree with Snout ... MSX community is still more active ... and I can already announce new major steps in the MSX emulation's world for very soon ... it's now a question of some days or weeks (different delays for the concerned projects)

My MSX is dead - i need to change the fuse in my mains switchbox
That is better.....
TurboR boot up = 1.5 Seconds - booted up with my personal menu driven autoexec program.
Homemade PC boot up = 4 mins - booted up with Win2000
My fastest bootup is a Tandy model 100 - count it in less than a second - load Nishi's excellent operating system and start using the built in editor instantly
