Lately, I was looking around in various documents about the I/O ports of MSX. There was mentioned that the range 88H to 8BH is reserved for a īMSX1 adapterī, which should be a upgrade cartridge MSX1 to MSX2. Has anyone ever seen such a cartridge ?
If someone has this cartridge, then I would be more than interested to get a dump of the ROMs.

Heh, me too!

I've never seen it for real, but you can find some pics of it on http://faq.msxnet.org in the hardware list section (hosted on FUNet).

Neos marketed a twin set of cartridges called MSX2UP, i used to have some info on this product, although i no longer have it.

One cartridge contained the MSX2 ROM's, the other contained the VRAM and monitor (NTSC) connections.

To be honest the product could not be used with any MSX2 ROM's, and no external disk drive, it only used the MSX1 non mapped RAM, not much use really, but it did exist!
