I have an original ducktales disk here, but I do not have any physical MSX machine available atm. I therefore thought to create a dsk image of the disk in order to be able to enjoy the game in an emulator.
However, when trying to create a dsk image I get I/O errors.

I assume that this is part of the copy protection? Otherwise the disk is rotten :\
If I create a dsk images from the readable sectors, is there anybody here that can provide me with an (IPS?) patch to be able to run this game in an emulator?

it is disk protection.

if you debug, you can remove it. it is easy if you know how.

There's no such protection in Ducktales. It's simply a wasted disk.

Does this game deserve a translation?

The game was available in both English and Dutch iirc, do you mean a Spanish translation?

it's adrcunha, BHR... Most likely it'll be Portuguese then

@turbor: I might try to create disk images out of them... I recall the English version having crippled GFX, but the game is playable. The NL version is fine, iirc. But I hope they both held out during the past years. I'll look into it ASAP.

Well I don't tend to sift through people's 'public personal info' before posting an answer to one of their questions on a forum
