Something that's in my mind lately, ... why all KSS files made till now are from older games and (usualy) from "known" companies.
Not from the later game productions....

Your thought about this subject please...

actually from time to time I'm working on an MB-Muzax 3 KSS file containing all music and samplekits of the disk. Also MB-Muzax 1 and 2 are on the roll for conversion. I'm also checking out the built-in playlist format and I'm going to use that system in the Muzax KSS files too.

Lets give an example...

When playing D.a.s.s. some time ago i noticed the bgm music is realy nice so,... lets make a KSS from it.
After extracting all data a new KSS file was made but when gathtering info on the net i've discovered
that the game is sold here at MSX.ORG...... what should be done? It's a game from 1993.....

Option's :
* just put it online.
* put it online, offcourse there will be some text like "Buy D.a.s.s. at MSX.ORG"
* listen to statement at yawara website... give them time to make new things.
* do nothing
* ask at someone here

Hey,... this is just one of the game productions but there are many more :
The Witch's Revenge, Akin, Black Cyclon, Pumpkin Adventure and many more.
This is more or less the same for music disks, but are you going to put them online BiFi?

I'm just wandering what are opinions are in the MSX community.

Well, you are of course free to make KSS files of whatever game/demo you want, but MRC can probably only add the KSS files of Public Domain / Freeware titles to the downloads database due to legal reasons. Unless of course the copyright holder gives permission to distribute the KSS files, which would be great

Currently there are some issues with the Muzax 3 KSS file like notes having a mind of their own and even a few tunes claiming more than 90% of CPU time. I'll parallel the other muzax versions, and will put them online when they're finished.

The Muzax 3 is quite big already, over 700 KB

@Sonic_aka_T
Naturaly MRC rules will be respected but the real question is : why al lot Konami, Compile, Falcom, Microcabin, etc etc games are "kss'ed" but from the later game developers none has been "kss'ed".
Strange thing isn't it ?

@BiFi
Heavy "90 procent notes"

dunno yet what's exactly going on with those particular tunes, but I'll probably find that issue...
