| Linux: convert msx pic to bmp and back

I'm new to crossplatform development.
Currently I'm making first drawings for my first big msx game.
I use mainly The Gimp and saving the drawings in 16 color indexed bmp.
How can I convert these to screen 5 or screen 8 format?

Ok, I found bmp2msx (http://www5d.biglobe.ne.jp/~hra/software/bmptomsx/index.htm) and it runs with Wine.
The problem is solved for now, but still like to have a linux native tool.
