In an article found on the internet I read this:

---
Jet Set Willy (MSX Cart and BeeCard 1985)

Why pay 50p for a cassette version of Jet Set Willy when you can pay through the nose for Hudson’s Japanese release of the same game on cartridge? For the ultimate in elitist collectibles seek out the BeeCard release, a credit card style ROM that slots into a Hudson-made adapter. Go on, we dare you.
---

I was wondering if anybody has ever seen or maybe owns this 'credit card style rom' cart ?

Any pictures??

In last Barcelona Users Meeting there were two Beecards adaptors with Jet Set Willy and Bomberman for selling.

They sometimes pop up at Ebay, most games from Hudsonsoft use them.
(The Beecard itself is also from Hudsonsoft) I have different games for them like a Baseball game, Star Force and of course Barnstormer. The games look like creditcards.

Do not switch them with the cartridge from Electric software which looks alike but uses different cards (as far as I know)

As you know BeeCard was later used by Hudson for the NEC PC-ENGINE - TURBOGRAFX system, renamed as Hu-Card

Hmmmmm.... just like to check... as I never have thought about that... do you mean, that hudson´s beecards cannot put to electric´s beecard adaptor and vice versa????????

and as at last someone says he HAS Jet Set Willy on beecard, then I like to know is there any difference in beecard version compared to original tape version (except maybe different title screen and no loading screen)?

As anyone who has really played Jet Set Willy knows there are several bugs in game making it impossible to complete.

Like if you fall in certain room you of course die when falling thru few screens, but it also kills all of your willies by doing the same again and again and again..... and you can´t do anything to stop it untill it´s game over. I don´t remember room name, but it can be found when you walk left from bathroom and go downstairs until you are on the bottom level, then go right and maybe it was first room on the right where is two ugly big faces jumping on the bottom and barrel on the second floor, go to the barrel and climb up, until you can go to right and then when you are facing ravine, just jump to the right and game kills all your men and you can do nothing to prevent it.

That´s why I like to know have japanese corrected those bugs for beecard format? Or have they asked Software Projects to fix bugs for contract? Or are all nasty bugs still there???

I do. This predecessor of the famous Hu-Card is identical in size and weight to the PC-Engine game medium (also used by the Atari portofolio) and is featured in the encyclopedia of Game.Machines (in the large MSX chapter, pages 74 to 79 for example) and ...

... shown in the introductory chapter on game storage media on page 7. The Adventure Island card pictured there came in a luxury box - very nice imo :-)

The encyclopedia itself (224 pages, 600+ colour pictures) is available in English and in German language (see www.gameplan.de or www.gameplan-books.co.uk)

Take care & regards from Bavaria,
