the vg8280 is interesting , are the vdp and Z80 on socket ( for upgrades ) ?

Leo: normally these chips are soldered directly onto the mainboard. Either this, or the computer must have been modded by a die-hard MSX-modder who wanted the system to be easily upgradable. Your chance is little, I'm afraid.

Guess I would not be making friends by overbidding him ...
Anyway, the seller lives in Hoorn, Holland; that's 7 km from my home.
There are quite some active MSXers (i.e. Repair-Bas, Latok, BiFi) in the area
and MCWF (MSX Club West-Friesland) too.
@Konamito: I'm not gonna buy it, so don't worry
In case the deal goes bad I wouldn't mind asking around for a 8280 for you,
if you wish ofcourse ... |

I made the bid before I read the entire article (I was so excited) so after I made it I realized that this guy only sells in Netherlands. I´m from Spain so I don´t know how the thing will come out. I´m very interested on it but I don´t know if he wants to sell outside his country.

Dont buy stuff from this guy! He sold me broken MSX (he told me it was a good system, i even saw it working!) 4 weeks ago and he dint wanted to refund it!

i bought this guy two msx systems and both r in good conditions.. Is this a msx site or not? It seems more {mod: very much on the edge here elements...} msx team in this site.. come on u dont know this guy, and pls can u identify him?? this guy lives in amsterdam, if u want to know his adres ill will give him.. beware of bad messagess. i called this guy, cozz i know him, he said they r working fine, even he have to sell two msx turbo-r systems
by the way i want also yor identify, seems u r newbie here, thats mean im not taking serious or u r hiding with other name in msx.org.

Maybe i hiding elements, maybe not. But what you are talking is BS, in the add the guy lives in Hoorn not in Amsterdam. I live in Middenbeemster, a town between Hoorn and Alkmaar. I realy bought 2 systems from him and they where crap, they just worked for a couple of hours and then stopped working. I tracked this forum down via google and because i was wathing this guy on ebay.
