At least it's not a problem @ 1600x1200

On a more serious sidenote: people, please down-scale your images to 640x480 or 768x576 or something, in order to have it displayed properly everywhere.

Do I have to ride a horse because people cannot afford a car?

I think 640x480 is an exageration. 800x600 should be minimal resolution that a desktop should have (if we do not live in 3rd world)

Im sure that people writing in this forum CAN afford a SVGA card and a SVGA monitor.

Regards.

It's not a matter of being able to afford the display. I'm also running 1600×1200, but I don't have a browser window stretched out on my full screen (it's currenty 1077×999 pixels). It's something completely different!

yakumo: It's not a question of being able to run on certain resolutions, but the main point is, 99% of the people out there have a CRT/TFT which supports 1024x768. Well, if a forum image has to be put in nicely, without messing up the lay out of the website, it has to be something like 640x480 or something. So that when those people have the 1024x768 resolution and maximize their window, they'll be able to see that image and the forum thread without problems.

played through the first MG and far into MG2:SS by now.... despite portrait changes, it seems the first MG has more little changes than the second (and it was more nescesary, I guess).

Finishing MG1 gives you a bandana (unlimited ammo on replaying) and boss survival mode.

some more crapcam screenshots taken from tv (they're 640x480):

what's this? 'all you base' reference?

well, it's correct, but they could've left the MSX in

Good, he's still a ninja from NASA.

oh, by the way. I did make a direct comparison running the intro's of MG2 Solid Snake on both a real MSX and the PS2... once again, stunned by the accuracy of the music in the port.
I noticed the image was a bit blurrier in the PS2 version. This might in part be the cable (the real MSX has an incredibly good and bright SCART output... my PS2 has SCART too, though), but I think the games were stretched + blurred to match the PS2's resolution (probably similar to how many emulators do it). The used font also seems to be a higher resolution than the game graphics (this does look slightly odd, but it's an improvement in readability).

These games might use some form of partial emulation or something (afaik that's kinda how MGS for PC works).... I can't get a clue from the files on the disc.
