Ehmm ... probably the MSX-PLAYer does not have support for MegaRAM, so only little rom files could be tested with Execrom.
There's also Loadrom and the tool developed by BiFi, but in these cases, the problem is probably the size of the memory mapper with the MSX-PLAYer. I think that some hacking is required to extend this size.

ROMLOAD works fine in MSX-PLAYer with either the Snatcher or SD-Snatcher Sound Cartridge in the Game Reader... It's detects both of them perfectly.

Besides MARS, this one is supplied with having 512K ,tried my MT-Base ( yes 20 years old exactly !)
But you guys get a complete report of the ultimate test.
Keep in mind the konami doubles, pictures making of the games via gamemaster etc

512 Kb, that's logical as this version of the MSX-PLAYer has support for Turbo-R.
But in some cases, more than 512 Kb is required to run megarom files with Loadrom.

Not quite , a st has 256K.
But I was more referring to the original 64K that comes with the japanese version
