<Grauw> snout

<snout> Heya Arjan

<snout> wasup Grauw?

<Grauw> something I use very much on fora I visit infrequently is

<Grauw> "last 5 posts"

<snout> yup

<Grauw> or last 10, whichever you want

<Grauw> make such a thing

<snout> last 5 is on the frontpage

<Grauw> ah

<snout> or do you want one _IN_ the forum module ?

<Grauw> also make it in the forum section

<Grauw> well

*** Signoff: Arjan (Ping timeout: 744 seconds)

<Grauw> this one will be sufficient now

<Grauw> but it would be convenient to have one in the forum module itself too

<Grauw> on a more visible spot

*** MrBaKeR is now known as Arjan

<Grauw> and a top10 perhaps

<snout> I'm planning some huge changes in the forum module

<Grauw> ok

<Grauw> and er

<snout> (including thread/nested view!)

<Grauw> er

<Grauw> dunno if that's a good idea

<snout> but little time for developing

<snout> well, I'll do it in a way that makes sence

<Grauw> flat fora are good for the web

<snout> trust me

<Grauw> hmz ok

<Grauw> btw, increase the font size and edit box size of the post message thing

<Grauw> it's way too small now

<Grauw> also the bold doesn't help with that

<snout> hmmm...

<snout> thx for the tip

<snout> if you want me to remember them, post them http://www.msx.org/^forumtopic540.html&14 here

Actually your post is. The discussion mentioned here is for Snout, remembering him to put in some new functionality. And that, my friend, is also good for you in the long run.

Please read carefully next time, before you start baffling nonsense again.

Commenting is ok, but please try to say someting meaningfull next time.

Thanks.

I don't konw if it was already mentioned, but it would be nice to have a statistics page somewhere. So that we can see the next big round number of posts coming...
So, stats about:
- number of forumposts
- number of downloads
- number of visitors (guests/friends)
- number of members
- number of links in the db
- number of newsposts
- number of articles
(all viewable per day/week/month/year).

Would be pretty cool!

Already on the forumpage.

You are free to check the Nedstat stats.

Already there, tho you have to do some math for a total.

Quote:

- number of newsposts

Check the archive for that number.

Would be pretty useless!

Although I personally like stats (we even had a not-that-good-functioning-stats module running for a while) it's not a priority at the moment. As GuyveR already pointed out most of the info you'd want to know can already be optained with a few clicks.

Yeah, but I'm talking overview! GuyveR800 apparently doesn't like stats that much, but I also love them. E.g. the stats of the sf.net pages are quite useful. A very concentrated overview of the most important stats, including a graph.

well, in our case stats are mostly interesting for the webmasters but after the big jobs are done (and frankly, there is not very much left to do)... I think I'll start working on a stats module. I'll ask for suggestions at that time.

I'd like to be able to preview my message before I submit it.
(Add "please" to the above if that helps)

In the fairs and meetings section you can only view the coming fairs/meetings, not the one that is actually being held. It would be great if todays' fair is also included in that list (for the address).
