I could have a software (not fiinished yeat) that would use screen 8.
Anyone have a good title?
It would use some full screen images.
Do you want some samples to have a general idea about the game?

Starship Rendezvous disk 1 is SCREEN 8 for sure... Disk 2 depends on the VDP if it uses SCREEN 8 or SCREEN 12.
Quinpl is SCREEN 5 (hence the palette fade). With V9958 it does show a bunch of SCREEN 12 pictures first though. Same goes for Nyancle racing btw.
and AFAIK Hole in One Special is SCREEN 5 too.

Are you interested also in home made software? Well, me and Moka soft, we are programming 2 videogames in screen 8. My game shows, at the moment, some photos of Baviera and October Fest :-)

- Lenam, Sword of Legend (Hertz)
- Zoo (Radarsoft)
- Dix (MSX-Engine)
- Xevious (???)
That's all I can come up with... I do remember some kind of cross between tetris and a card game, which wanted you to clear a playing field of coloured tiles with playing card values, revealing a screen 8 pic. Can't remember for the life of me what it was called, tho.
Why do you want to know, 'case, if you don't mind me asking?

Games from other people on the Internet.
There is a page on the NET that has a home made clone (TTRS2).
TTRS2
Does anyone knew about this game?

If you are interested, also I was programming a videogame in screen8 - Not finished yet, but ambitious project, with an installer from CDROM to harddisk and a level-builder.
A prototype "PCAT71p" is available here:

Almost forgot about these two:
* Rick and Mick's Big Adventure
There was a Dutch puzzle game called
* QOP
which IIRC was in screen 8 as well.
Can't find it in the Generation-MSX database however. |

There is a lot of "FREEWARE" and semi-commercial software that is not on the Generation-MSX database, sometimes it is obvious if a puzzle would use Screen mode 8!
Even some commercial games are not on the database after all ...
