| Once again, it's about the MRC policies on linking to these software titles, whatever nametag you put on it. As for linking to sites that contain copyrighted software: we'd rather not, but you might have noticed that we don't link to -for instance- MSXFiles with 'download [name of game] for free now!', but we do link to MSXfiles when -again, for instance-, SLotman releases a nice game for MSX (loved that snowball game ^_^).

according to this, baudejogos site can be linked here, since the main function of baudejogos is to provide useful and relevant info and data to the msx games, like msx generation, but in portuguese

| Simply put, the MRC is responsible for the contents of the MRC and the potential results that might follow out of legal actions. In the very early stages of the MRC we have made our guidelines and have sticked to it ever since. Even then, the contents of the MRC almost got us into legal trouble a couple of times. We have successfully defended our guidelines towards the Japan Computer Gaming Association, and although they don't agree completely with our point of view, it means a lot more to us that the people who are defending a large part of the copyrights we're most often talking about condone our activities, than the fact that there is a very small group of people who consistenly don't. You might not like our guidelines, the guidelines might not seem clear to you, but that is your problem, not ours. We are not enforcing our guidelines on other websites, we're only asking our visitors to stick by our policies on our website. In return, we can spend most of the time on focusing on the real and recent MSX activity and guarantee the MRC is here to stay for many, many, many years to come.

And according to this, Slotman site may not be linked to the MRC because it has copyrighted software from Konami, if you really want to avoid trouble.
Worse: it has commercial copyrighted software, like Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.

| SLotman, your site has a lot of great contributions: original games, SG-1000 ports, the reciently released Infocom adventures... keep on your GOOD work.
|
I completely agree
By the way, blueMSX 2.4 allows to play both versions of the SG-1000 ports : the SG-1000 version and the MSX version
We should add in the future support for the Sega Master System : finally, you'll play on the same emulator MSX and SMS versions of Aleste and Golvellius ! |

NICE! I really want that to become true, cause MEKA can't work correctly in computers without a OPL3 SoundBlaster ("At least it did work ehre when I had it, but now it don't work in any of the 4 diferent computers here at home). And SMS still the best old console for me (better even than MSX IMO). |

| As far as I'm concerned, the term abandonware was made up by people who want to make copying/downloading copyrighted classic software seem legal. I have bad news: it isn't. But that is all beside the point.

Well, "warez" is a made-up term too.
Anyway, I'm fine with MRC's policy... |

Maybe you should ask msx.org staff about baudejogos directly?

I already did that. links for baudejogos is not allowed besides the fact the site is much more informative like generation msx than a warez site
It seems the same reason The MSX Files site can be linked here
