I was wondering if anybody knows who made this external memory mapper of 512Kb. On the print is the following code : WBM-512

Always nice to know something about the history of the things you've collected, so hope somebody can help me out!

all 512 kb memory mappers are copied from the sony HBM 512

Checkmark, HSH, Stichting Green, Sparrowsoft, Gouda and so on.

They are easy to change to 1024 kB.

I did notice that some of the chips are placed into sockets and therefore can be exchanged easily.
Don't know which ones I need to change though to get 1MB.
Are these chips still available and which chips do I need precisely ?

Check out this site www.carchano.com.br/portal/msxprojetos.asp
Maybe they can help you out.
Or else you could keep an eye on Ebay, or maybe post a topic in the trading and collecting forum asking if someone could help you.
Got mine just a little while ago, wasn't easy to find one.
Don't know where you live, but it's also possible to have one build in to your MSX. Repairbas is an expert in the Netherlands who does these modifications www.bas-ditta.info/verkoopenlinks/onderdelen.htm
Good luck.

It is not so easy as you think to change.
I put some extra's ic's on top of the other ram chips and few other changes.

In the West-Friesland magazine nr. 28 I wrote the instructions.

Wow, just read the pdf on how to upgrade to 1MB.
Need some real expertise to do this, not realistic for me to try.
Don't want to waste this precious mapper so I'll stick to 512kb.

I once had a WBM-512 also, I think it's from Green. Traded it for a Yamaha CX-5M + minikeyboard...

Right.

Maybe later.

A Memory Mapper!
1024KB in one cartridge.

512 KB would be fine.
Sure that 1024 KB or more could be interesting!.

That is a nice memory mapper. Small, and works in 7 MHz machines too.
Memory mappers work fine in MSX 1 machines, you just need to have the right software since the MSX 1 BIOS knows nothing of mappers.

I wonder how much I could get for my AddRam2 4096 Kbytes cartridge!!!

BTW, does Terra Network System still exist?: http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~tns/

Just for your info, Terra Network System was the maker of AddRam2 4Mb RAM expansion cartridges.
