So, are we? Some time ago I downloaded Communisdore 64 Buzz Off sid-file Communisdore 64. Yep, that was same game! By Electric Software!!

I never knew they did Commiedore games as well!!! Did you knew that?

Well, tunes are just the same as we have on dear MSX, maybe tunes are somewhat softer on c=64, but same tunes indeed, but there was one jolly tune which I haven´t heard at all on MSX, so is there something "you completed ALL levels"-tune or whatever in MSX version?? Other three tunes were just same Electric Software intro, Level select and In-game. I don´t know in which part of commie game that nice tune plays, as I never have found game itself, but that sid-file only.

Buzz Off sid file can be found below, if someone is not moderating my address. There are just SID files, not game files. So you can listen it, but you need sidplay, or other player. (sidplay is great and easy to use!)

by the wayz.. I just realised, that commie version misses short "start of the level" tune, which plays when bertie the bee stands (or flies actually) still before you can play and after that Flight Of The Bumblebee starts playing.

at last! after looking for it for long time, I finally found c=64´s Buzz Off!

And the answer to my question is that that tune is played on HIGH SCORE screen, when you can enter your name! (in MSX version, there is no such screen, you enter your name during PLAYING it every time you get highest score so far!)

It is always fun to see differencies between 8-bit game conversions, as they usually had different graphics and sound, after showing familiar electric software´s intro and game cover hires pic, 64 has totally different and nice looking title screen which has spiders web and sprites of the spider and bertie the bee in it! (MSX title screen is level select screen)

Must say that that lovely hires pic is MUCH BETTER looking on MSX!

And thought I liked c64´s animated and colourful big sprite spider, i still like msx versions real looking monochrome spider the best! It is always so scary to look, when MSX spider comes slowly to get YOU!

But both versions are good!

Yes I can, at least in theory.

But the truth is, that Buzz Off! does not work correctly on either bluemsx or NLmsx using VisualMSX. There appears to be same bug what was in only one MSX Buzz Off! screenshot I found from the net, only the top of every fruit gets drawn, bottom part is missing, so screenshot would look kind of stupid.

If anyone can provide here decent screenshots of MSX Buzz Off! then please do so! (with fruits and web on screen, preferably with spider too, thank you!) Then everyone can compare MSX and C=64 Buzz Off! !

Btw, Buzz Off works fine in openMSX. Try it!
If not, your image is corrupted, because the cas image I have here works just fine.

Exactly the same in blueMSX with the CAS version, it works very good, so it seems that some DSK versions on the Net are corrupted (what does not surprise me, when we know in which amateur conditions some dumps have been made)

Seems the bug in that game is called a bee
