Hello, I have the same question too... but I want to expand my F1XDJ memory INTERNALY, I don't want use a slot.
Any information?

Find out which "MSX Engine" chip you have and look for the documentation on HansO's website. Then you'll have to add ram chips and connect up the mapper address lines and all that.
I used one 512KB SRAM chip on my F1-II so I wouldn't have to worry about refresh and address multiplexing.
