why, I don´t want to grow up, being "adult" is so damn boring.

Seems like you people take things too seriously.

"It looks like the server hosting the ratings is not exactly one with the capacity for high volume traffic. Linking MRC on there might overload it. So maybe it's best to leave it off that list."

You just can´t be serious. I previously hosted BlogRating service, which had about 350.000 to 500.000 accesses per day. For several months I had about 40GB of upload per month. I believe MSX RC has many accesses, but it certainly do not reach this mark. However, the system now works in a different way (it is now more secure and reliable, at the cost of a higher server load), and cannot match that amount of accesses anymore; but I believe it can cope with a few tens of thousands of accesses per day. Why don´t you register MRC on MSX Rating and take it off, *if* the server do not hold the traffic? It´ll cause no harm.

About competition, the MSX Rating idea is *not* competition, but only register a daily status, so new users can learn what are the most visited (and probably best) MSX sites on the net, at a given time. I really think MSX RC would be welcome at MSX Rating, even if it would be always the first.

And I hope the fact our service is being hosted in Brazil is not the reason why MSX RC not became a MSX Rating member. (BTW: the problems I had weeks ago are not related to my server, but related to the incredibly bad commercial internet link service proviveded by Telefonica. At a very high price, I must add.)

I don't know about the rest of the world, but just now it took 21 seconds to load the http://www.caetano.eng.br/services/msxrating/ page. This is actually quite fast; the first time I checked it it was almost a minute.

That picture takes about 3-4 seconds to load as well. I guess that's, well, a lot...

Well, then the World backbone to outside is very crappy because anywhere I tested in Brazil it loads in less than a second.

And now Generation MSX has decided to drop the MSX Rating counter, because it's not always working very fast ... Telefonica's inconvenience ... Maybe Fudeba could take contact with me, I could eventually host the MSX Rating website on my domain (msxblue.com).

Wouldn't the problem then revert to the rating counter being slow on/from Brazilian connections?

Indeed, the problem could just move to another side of the MSX planet. But with or without counter, we still know that the real Top 3 of the MSX sites is MRC - Generation MSX - blueMSX, so even if the most populair sites are not present in the MSX Rating counter, it's always interesting to know the results for the other MSX sites.
