Zolang de trailer maar begint met het MSX2-boot-scherm vind ik alles best

Didn't they make metal gear movies before metal gear was released;
Escape from New York
Escape from Los Angeles
If you havn't seen them already, you should definately watch them; some of the tooling Snake(!) is using will look _very_ familiar. |

But it's a well-known fact that Hideo Kojima was inspired by these movies, isn't it ?
And that's why they replaced Snake's look in MG1 remakes for Subsistence and mobile phones...

Yeah, it's no secret at all. In Metal Gear Solid 2, Snake even calls himself Pliskin |

If this movie does become a reality, who would most likely fit the role of Solid Snake?

without the glasses, with 10 times the muscles, with a decent American-English accent and better acting skills, I think I would be best fit for that role, actually |

Tssss if you compare b-movies like Escape from LA and Rambo with a possible Metal Gear movie some people have missed the strong points of the game. I know Kojima was inspired by the Kurt Russell movies, but MG(S) games have more (better!) stories than those movies, and are less about bullet-mayhem and more about being a sneaky bastard.
Historically speaking, Michael Biehn should play Snake, as he was the role model for the first Solid Snake drawing, but he's a bit old now, and Snake's looks have changed quite a lot since 1987.
The big problem for me is, whoever plays Snake, I am so used to the voice of David Hayter as being Snake's voice, another actor would be weird....too bad David Hayter doesn't look like Snake too |
