It is questionable if Digital Inclusion should be really need.
But if the talking (even digital speaking and MP3 books) would be used, why not just a simple PDA or MP3/MP4 player?
The MP3 player is in the place that old tape recorders were in the past.
Even if a notebook or handheld computer is used for FREE digital books (could be a talkie digital version), old stuff is not much expensive ...
I am sure that a PDA is cool enough for most persons, even today mobile phones already use a OS with GUI and in some cases easy access to (large or micro) memory cards!

I had the joy to play with an OLPC today. It's an amazing machine It comes with loads of fun apps and the screen design is brilliant. Very high resolution and both transmittive and reflective. If you turn off the backlight, you can use it in daylight as an e-book reader, in very high resolution indeed.

It seems that the WiFi project to access the Internet is already working on Rio de Janeiro.
FREE broadband access should be cool!

Here some sites from the NET:

Copacabana

At least, this part of the digital inclusion is already on the 2008 chronograph !

Some "cheaper" 'notebooks' ... A normal "notebook" will cost $600-800. The
educational ones would be $200.

It is easier to buy the normal ones, but for educational purposes the other projects
are more interesting because their could reach a better Information Technology.
