Hi,

Since long I've been experiencing a small but annoying 'feature' on MRC. For some reason it takes ages for any page to load the small Nedstat icon in the lower right corner, and loading of the page just never stops. At least not within an hour (Yes, I tested that). Of course, I can press [ESC} on every page, and I've been doing just that for ages, but it still keeps bugging me...

Am I the only one seeing that? Is it me? Is it MRC? Is it NedStatBasic?

Just 2 cts...

I don't have any problem with this counter. If you use Firefox, I should suggest that you disallow the 'google-analytics' Javascript that is embedded in the MRC code, it's maybe the source of your trouble.

neither do I... if the problem has been thare for ages, it could not possibly be the Google Analytics either, as that one's only been up for a month orso.

Ehmm ... maybe AuroraMSX is still using IE ... Since more than one month, I've switched to Firefox and I must say that it's really more fast, easy and secure. By comparison, IE is slow, buggy and not secure. I'm so happy that I promote Firefox on my website

still.. I've tested MRC on IE5.5, IE6 and IE7... no probs on either one of them... besides, we're using the counter without any javascript-stuff (as it's slowing the site down drastically and causing nasty popups ever since Nedstat -> Webstats4u)

On a Linux box? I don't think so
I'll have a look at that Google-analytics stuff, tho...
Somehow I've got the feeling it has something to do with my physical location. I'd like to see some comments of other users in Germany...

Physical location was my first guess too. Maybe nedstat has problems resolving your ip address to a country or something...

Anyway, I'm in Germany as well, in Berlin to be more precise, and I've never had these problems, not from home or any of the places I've worked at...

Hm... come to think of it. I didn't have this problem at the office either, only at home.
FireFox's status bar does say: "Transferring data from www.google-analytics.com..." by the way,
